COVID-19 Announcements

Curbside Garbage and Recycling pickup - 03/25/2020 - Effective immediately for the City of Titonka – due to the COVID-19 outbreak, curbside garbage and recycling pickup will be suspended until further notice.  Dumpsters are being provided behind Buffalo Creek Activity Center (former school building).  Each week, until regular garbage service resumes, we ask that you bring your trash on either Wednesday or Thursday from 7:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M.  The dumpsters will not be available other days or after 6:00 P.M.   This site is under video surveillance at all times.  One bag is allowed as usual, per week, with additional bags requiring stickers.  If you are unable to bring your garbage to us, please contact City Hall at (515) 928-2850 for assistance.  You may deposit your own recycling in the recycling trailer.  The trailer is located next to the Skate Park.

Grocery Delivery - Titonka Volunteer Firemen will deliver groceries from Titonka Food Center.  Contact TFC at 515-928-2044.  Deliveries will likely be made at noon and 5:00 p.m.

Titonka City Hall - Starting Wednesday, March 18, Titonka City Hall will be closed to the public until further notice.  Please use the outside drop box to pay your utility bill.  Garbage stickers are available at Titonka Food Center.  Please call City Hall at 515-928-2850 with any questions.  

Rosebud Old Fashions - closed until further notice.

TSB Bank and Boyken Insurance - Lobby will be closed effective March 18, 2020, until further notice.  The Drive-up will still be accessible and any in-person banking and insurance needs will be by appointment only.  

Titonka Fitness Center - As of Tuesday, March 17, the fitness center is closed until further notice.  

Titonka Public Library - Closed until further notice.  Early Childhood Reading Adventures and Between the Covers Book Club are suspended until further notice.

Titonka-Burt Communications - The office is closed to foot traffic.  Staff is still working and you can contact us by phone at 515-928-2110.  Visit the website for more information.  The Annual Meeting of Titonka Telephone Company Stockholders scheduled for Saturday, April 18, 2020, has been postponed.  

Titonka Care Center - is restricting visitors at this time as mandated by the Iowa Department of Public Health.  They are limiting all visitors to their facility unless absolutely necessary.  Only those who need to visit for critical or time sensitive reasons such as hospice or therapy will be screened for possible visitation.  If you have any questions, please call 515-928-2600.

Katie's Salon and Tanning - is closed until April 8, 2020.

Titonka Public Library 5th Annual Soup-A-Thon scheduled for Saturday, March 28, 2020 has been postponed.  

Quasqui Bags & Bingo scheduled for Saturday, April 4, 2020, has been postponed. 

Good Hope Lutheran Church - For the next several weeks there will be NO Confirmation, Lenten Services, Sunday School or Worship Services.  Emails and voice mails will be checked regularly.  The church secretary will be in the office periodically, with no set schedule at this time.  If you have an emergency, please call Pastor Kim at the parsonage (515-928-2552) or on his cell phone (605-759-5415). Good Hope Lutheran Men's Pork Loin Dinner scheduled for March 22, 2020, has been postponed.

Ramsey Reformed Church - will have "drive-in" services on Sundays at 9:30 a.m. until further notice.

Titonka United Methodist Church - All church activities are canceled until further notice. 

Travis Stohr Benefit scheduled for March 28th has been postponed.

FCC COVID-19 Consumer Warnings and Saftey Tips - The webpage includes samples of audio from actual scams and lists six ways individuals can protect themselves from such scams.

The State of Iowa, the Federal government, and the Small Business Administration are offering loans and grants for small businesses impacted by COVID-19. The links to information sheets below provide summaries of these programs, as well as links with contact information and application procedures as currently available. Small businesses are also encouraged to contact their banks or credit unions for additional information.
